Depuis la sortie de son 1er album, Naturally en 1972, JJ Cale fait ce qu'il veut comme il veut. Et si tous ses albums n'ont pas rencontré le succès escompté, plusieurs d'entres eux méritent une place d'honneur dans le grand livre de la musique américaine de ces 40 dernières années. Inventeur du son de Tulsa où il n'est pas rare de le voir seul avec sa guitare jouer au fond d'un bar, repris par les plus grands, JJ Cale serait, parait il tombé une fois de plus de son hamac ou de son rocking chair devant sa roulotte au bord du désert de l'Oklahoma pour nous pondre un disque qui est comme d'habitude une pure merveille.
